We are such special Young Warriors;
Our battles are awesome and varied.
The strength and the faith that we show here
Hide the wounds and the scars we have carried.
Please share in our journey to recovery,
Please join in our most valiant quest;
Please send up a prayer every morning
Please wish us your very best.
Some days it seems so daunting,
Some days it's so hard to go on,
But each morning we start out anew here,
Continuing ever on!
Just as with warriors always,
The loss of a compadre wounds us deep;
We shared in that warrior's battle,
And his loss makes us silently weep.
But we share one another's progress;
Gain strength from victories large or small -
For each thing the doctors learn here
Will eventually help us all.
Our faith in our Lord never wavers,
He holds us all in the palm of His hand.
We know He's the Greatest Physician,
We know He's the One in command.

Our Young Warrior Justin has graduated from the world of cancer kids to the world of the well. He is doing wonderfully well, as you can see in this letter from Dena:
You would not believe how wonderful he looks. His hair has all grown back and he is as healthy as can be. He no longer walks with a limp. He is back in school full time and you would never know he had been so ill. He has been working on a truck he bought to fix it up. He has his driver's license!!

Two of our warriors share the same type of cancer. Two of them (not the same two) are patients at the same hospital. Three of them like to.....
  
ALL of them, and certainly their loving families, share a deep and abiding faith in God, and an indominatable spirit to carry on -- to WIN THE BATTLE! We could all learn much from any of them!
