Here's Mikey's December!!

December 2nd, 2001... (L) Mikey and Anna (Brittney's niece) have fun riding the Jeep in
our backyard. (R) Mikey is standing by the nativity scene and other Christmas decorations in
our front yard. Mikey is already pumped for Christmas, but he'll tell ya in a minute that
"santa doesn't come to our house.. JESUS does!". And it's CHRISTmas, not Xmas! Shopping the
stores for a nativity scene for the yard, we found that "santa" has just about stolen Christmas,
but not at our house. We don't know the exact date that Christ was born, but.. for some people,
this may be one of the few days of the year that they reflect on the life of our Saviour. So,
let's not let santa and frosty take that away from us. And Santa Claus has more letters than
Christmas, and we don't call him XClaus. In fact, I don't know of ANY other word, that when we
spell it, we replace most of it with an "X". Hmmm... Please, don't take Christ out of Christmas.

December 9th, 2001... Mikey lost one of his front teeth while we were getting ready to
leave for our Sunday School Class Christmas party. He bumped it on a toy, and it just popped
right out. It didn't bother him much.. it just gave him something to crow about. And of course,
he had a great time showing off at the party. He was running a slight fever saturday night and
coughing a lot, so he may be coming down with another cold. Our 70° temps are dropping a bit,
and giving way to damper, windy weather this weekend.

December 16th, 2001... In today's picture, Mikey is in our church sanctuary, practicing
for the Christmas drama. He is going to be an angel, and as you can see, he is as proud as
punch. He's such a little ham!
Mikey will be going in for a heart echo Wednesday.. THIS Wednesday, the 19th. We're asking
everyone that will, to pray for Mikey this Wednesday as he sees his cardiologists for this
important test.

December 23rd, 2001... In today's picture, Mikey is braving the cool night air with his
brother, Joey, to enjoy the light display in one of our local parks. We will all be attending
candlelight communion services at our church today. Monday evening everyone will be at our
house to eat mom's homemade chili and open presents, and tuesday the whole gang will be
enjoying a Christmas feast together.
Mikey had another heart echo done this week. The results showed little, if any change.
The cardiologists want to do a heart catheterization in the spring, followed by either a stent
placement, or more open-heart surgery. We're still believing God for a miracle healing. Please
pray and believe with us.

THANK YOU!
