Thanks, Rick!! ~smile~

January 5th, 2002... In the picture on the left, Mikey is opening his presents [more Christmas pics here]. In the picture on the right, Mikey is digging into his New Year's Day meal, a southern tradition... ham hocks, black-eyed peas, corn bread and cabbage (or a variation thereof). After opening presents with the family, we went to Branson with Mikey's big brother, Joey, and his fiancé for a few days. When we returned to Fort Smith, Mikey's big Sissy prepared our New Year's meal again this year, and she did good! It was a great holiday season for Mikey and family, all around. 2002 has come to an end now, and it was a very good year. Thank You, Lord! And Happy New Year, everyone!

January 12th, 2002... Mikey's big Sissy and Mister Ed came over and barbecued for us last night, and you can see Mikey getting ready to chow down in today's picture. We're having some cold weather right now, so we all ate INSIDE, for sure! Mikey got to go to another UAFS basketball home game, and had a ball. He ran into his buddy, Pastor Don, and they went down under our team's goal and laughed and yucked it up for most of the first half. Mikey loves Pastor Don.

Mikey is scheduled to see his cardiologists again next week, and we're praying for, and expecting, a good report! Mikey is doing so well. God is good! All the time!

Peg's note: The Divas are praying and expecting right along with you, Mikey! Just click above to see. ~S~

January 19th, 2002... Mikey is showing off his report card in today's picture. They passed out report cards Friday, and he got all "A"s again! Mikey seems to be doing very well, still. He has a lot of energy, and hasn't been sick lately, other than a head cold. He will see his cardiologists again this wednesday, and we are praying and believing, and expecting another good report. God is good!

January 26th, 2003... Mikey, and his buddy Patrick, are pictured in today's update. Mikey is still doing well. He went to see his cardiologists wednesday. They believe that his condition has not changed and they want to proceed with a heart catheterization now. We lobbied to do this in the summer when Mikey is out of school. So... Mikey will be seeing the cardiologists one more time, and undoubtedly will be scheduled for the heart cath in late May or early June.

Thank You, Lord, for sending us Mikey. Thank You for looking out for him and keeping him safe. Thank You for Mikey's life, and the wonderful Christian witness that he has. God is good!
