December 7th, 2003... What a wonderful holiday season. In today's picture, Mikey is finishing up the indoor Christmas decorations. We don't decorate with "santas".. Firstly, at our house, Christmas is a time for family and time to reflect on the birth of Christ, our Savior. Then, there is the "get-togethers", and... the presents!
It's getting cold here now. The grass is yellowed and the leaves are still falling. It feels like the Chirstmas season now. Mikey was sick most of last week, but he's better now.. cheerful and looking forward to Christmas. Tonight is our Christmas program at our church. God is good!

December 14th, 2003... Christmas is getting near. And although there are no "santas" at our house, there ARE presents for Mikey! We like to emphasize the real meaning of Christmas, Christ's birth... His life, His death on the cross, His resurrection and what it means to us today. Last sunday was our church's adult drama, and tonight is the children's drama... "Operation: Baby King".
Mikey's sickness from last week, returned this week for a few days, but he is recovering again. Thank You, Lord. We're taking precautions, and please pray with us, that Mikey will not get a full-blown case of this year's nasty flu virus. Mikey has been hearing all the frightening news reports and he was overheard praying and asking God to help "everyone in the universe" that is affected by the flu this year.

December 21st, 2003... Making Christmas cookies! In today's picture you can see Mikey and sissy frosting cookies (while dad and Mister Ed ate pizza and watched movies).
Mikey has been sick on and off since thanksgiving. He'll get well for a few days, then get sick again. We've been fighting a nasty virus that is making the rounds. Mikey has been to his pediatrician several times, the hospital once, and he was seen by his cardiologists this week. Xrays this week show that the stent in Mikey's heart is broken into two pieces.. one half in his heart and the other half in his homograft. The condition of his homograft is back to where it was before the stent procedure this summer. They want to push forward the next heart surgery, so they are making an appointment for us to come to Little Rock in April.
Mikey is still excited about Christmas, even though he's been a little under the weather and he has a bad cough. The last few days of school, I only sent him for a few hours a day. He wore a face mask and carried antibacterial hand cleaner to avoid contagions at school. He's out of school now, until January 5th.
Mikey & Family want to thank everyone for their prayers and wish everyone the very best for the holidays.

December 28th, 2003... Happy Holidays! Today's picture is from our Christmas eve party.. eatin' chili and opening presents with the family in our rec room.. er.. well, it's actually an "Arkansas rec room".. ya just clean out the garage and light a fire... voila! ya got a rec room!
We're updating a little early this week... been fighting a nasty bug of some kind and haven't been online a whole lot. Please hold our mail while we take a break from the internet. Hopefully we'll be feeling better and be back online to receive your emails next year.. err.. the following sunday, January 4th, 2004! Thanks for all of your prayers. Mikey & Family wish everyone a great holiday season and a safe, healthy and prosperous new year. God is good! God Bless.

While you are here, Please sign Mikey's guestbook.
