December 4th... In today's picture, you can see Mikey and niece Emily at Patrick's basketball game. The Lions don't have any more home games till next month, but we enjoy going to Patrick's games with Mister Ed and our
beautiful granddaughter!
Cooler weather is forecast now, but it was sunny and 75-80° yesterday. Ol' dad's joints hadn't let him walk for the last couple of days, but I was better yesterday and Mikey and I were able to take full advantage of the warm weather Saturday and went for a nice walk. Tonight our families
will go to see Dennis Swanberg, our favorite christian comedian, and be in the audience for a live taping of 2 new dvds he will have coming out. We LOVE "The Swan" (Dennis)!
Christmas is coming. Mikey is well. God is good!

December 11th, 2005... Happy 1st birthday, Emily! In the photo above, Mikey and Patrick are helping Emily open some of her birthday presents. And what a great time she had getting messy, tearing into the cake with her fingers... blue frosting all over her face:

... We ALL had a great time:

You can see all the photos from Emily's 1st birthday RIGHT HERE! It's been a great week. After temps around 80 last week, we had a half inch of snow thursday. They cancel school for a half inch of snow here (it's a "southern thing" hehe), so... we all went to the Waffle House for breakfast and Rhonda brought Emily and she saw snow for the first time. The snow was all melted in a few hours, but they still cancelled school for a second day friday for most of western Arkansas. Yesterday we had breakfast out again, went shopping and had Emily's party when we returned. Sissy and Mister Ed are good hosts and threw a great party. Later they took Mikey out to see the Christmas lights. God is good. He just keeps blessing us. We have so much to be thankful for!

December 18th, 2005... CHRISTmas is coming! In the photo above, Mikey & family can be seen viewing the lights in one of our local parks.. one of our yearly family traditions. They decorate the park and even the little train you ride and serve hot chocolate, soup, chili, etc. You can see Mikey and niece Emily riding the train with Rhonda below:

Christmas Eve, our families will get together at our house for mom's homemade chili and to open presents... another Moore family tradition. God has so wonderfully blessed us ALL!
Mikey is doing well. He has a pacemaker check tomorrow, and he will likely be in Little Rock next month to see his cardiologists. They have a new surgery team there that will perform Mikey's next heart surgery.

December 25th, 2005... Merry CHRISTmas! HE, Jesus Christ, is the reason for the season. Mikey is well. God is good. How blessed we are! In the hustle and bustle of Christmas, I didn't get off too many shots, but I did manage to get a few, and in today's photo, Mikey can be seen with family, holding niece Emily in our living room. You can tell little Emily is fighting sleep, not wanting to miss any of the excitement. It's hard to get everyone together when there's so much going on... food, presents, football, ping pong, video games, etc. etc... It's hectic but SO MUCH FUN! We ALWAYS take time to reflect on the life of Christ, and what His coming means to us and all of mankind. Jesus is FIRST in OUR home!
Mikey is doing well. He had a pacemaker check last week, and everything looks fine. He will be making an appointment with his cardiologists in Little Rock in just a few weeks. They have a new surgery team there that will perform Mikey's next heart surgery. It's hard to believe, as healthy as Mikey appears now, that he is still so very ill. The expectation is still that his life will "be short". That's what this page is about. Thousands of wonderful people have visited Mikey's page and prayed for him. Many have been inspired, blessed, and even found Jesus through this simple page. It's suprising how many emails we have received from "back-slidden" couples and families who have returned to church after being inspired by Mikey's simple page. To God be the glory. It's all about Him.
Mikey IS well. His last trip to Little Rock he saw his cardiologists and got a great report, thank You, Lord! He had ekgs, a pacemaker clinic and a heart echo done, and everything looked fine. The dacron conduit in his heart is clear and the porcine valve is working well for him. He still has "heart rub" and a leaky mitral valve, but medication is controlling the sinus tachycardia (fast heart rate), and we are all very happy with Mikey's progress since his latest heart surgery last summer.
T.G.I.S. .. Thank God It's SONday, and we get to go to church today!
God is Good!
