November 6th, 2005... Mikey, dressed as the Hulk, is holding niece Emily who is dressed as a pumpkin in today's photo. While we do not "celebrate" halloween, Mikey does enjoy passing out candy here at the house. We always have trick-or-treaters that number in the hundreds, even in bad weather. We had rain halloween night, then right back up in the 80s again. We celebrated our 32nd anniversary last week.. staying in a local motel for a few days.. just to get away from the house for a bit. With this lingering summer-like weather, we spent much of THIS week strolling around in the park with our grandaughter. Last night it was mexican food out, then cake and ice cream for Patrick's birthday party.. (pics next week)! Mikey is well. God is good!

November 13th, 2005... In today's pictures, you can see Mikey and family at Patrick's 13th birthday party (lookout, a teenager now!), and Mikey is also pictured with Emily and dad at the basketball game last night. Basketball has started, and our Lions are ranked #1 in the nation! We had home games the last 2 nights and won both games.

November 20th, 2005... Our fall temperatures have finally arrived. With highs in the 60s and lows in the 40s we were able to light a fire for a bit last night. In today's picture you can see Mikey cutting up by the fireplace. Nuthin' better on a coolish night than eatin' potato soup, and drinkin' hot chocolate whilst standing around a good hot fire.. Mikey likes it, and I do too. Mikey is well. God is good!

November 27th, 2005... Happy Thanksgiving! And a great Thanksgiving it was, too (see the family picture above). Mom and Rhonda outdid themselves with some great food AND desserts. Grandma Mary and Aunt Brittney brought even more food and desserts. We're eating leftovers yet today, and they're STILL good! The last 2 evenings, Mikey and family having been enjoying Lions' basketball. Mikey's great friend Pastor Don was there as well, but he was up getting cokes when we snapped this photo:

Mikey is well. He has been to Little Rock to see his cardiologists and got a great report, thank You, Lord! He had ekgs, a pacemaker clinic and a heart echo done, and everything looked fine. The dacron conduit in his heart is clear and the porcine valve is working well for him. He still has "heart rub" and a leaky mitral valve, but medication is controlling the sinus tachycardia (fast heart rate), and we are all very happy with Mikey's progress since his latest heart surgery last summer.
