February 5th, 2006... Mikey is still doing well. HAPPY BIRTHDAY RHONDA! Rhonda is Mikey's big sister, and her birthday was yesterday. In the picture above, Mikey (center, red shirt), can be seen with sissy and family, getting ready to eat some birthday cake and ice cream.. HALLELUJAH, I love birthday cake! In the photo below, we're all pictured at sissy's birthday meal, out at Fire Mountain Barbecue & Buffet.

Today is "Miracle Sunday" at our church, and we are EXPECTING miracles. God is GREAT!

February 12th, 2006... Mikey is a Polar Bear now! Yes, Mikey actually joined the Polar Bears by plunging into the ice cold water! At 10 years old, Mikey was the youngest of 55 Polar Bears to take the plunge and raise money for the Special Olympics. In the photo above, Mikey is holding up the t-shirt they gave him. There were live radio remotes and television coverage as they took the plunge in an outdoor pool. In the photo below, you can see Mikey and another polar bear scrambling for the ladder to get back out of the icy water. It was for a good cause, and we're very proud of Mikey, but you could NOT have gotten ME in that cold water for nuttin!

Mikey's birthday is this week.. Thursday, Mikey will be 11 years old. He has come such a long way.. God is good!

February 19th, 2006... Mikey is still doing well.. thank You, Lord! He will see his doctor again Monday. Happy Birthday Mikey, AND.. Uncle Rusty! We had two birthday parties this week. Both birthday boys are in the photo above. Mikey, in the front, is 11 now, and Uncle Rusty, top row left, is FORTY! Thanks to everyone for all the emails, cards, e-greetings, and for those who signed Mikey's guestbook. Wow, have WE eaten a lot of food and a lot of cake and ice cream this week! In the photo below, Mikey can be seen with some of his friends and family at his party.

February 26th, 2006... Mikey is pictured above with niece Emily. We got to have her again last night. We get her several days a week, but that still just isn't enough, because she is such a sweetie! Mikey is still doing well.. thank You, Lord! He saw his local doctor last week, and he is scheduled to go back to Little Rock in April. We invite you to look back two pictures, where the family can be seen celebrating Uncle Rusty's 40th birthday. That's Rusty hiding in the back row, top/left side. (We just needed to remind him one more time that he is 40 now.)

Mikey is doing well. He had a pacemaker check recently, and everything looks fine. He will be making an appointment with his cardiologists in Little Rock in just a few weeks. They have a new surgery team there that will perform Mikey's next heart surgery. It's hard to believe, as healthy as Mikey appears now, that he is still so very ill. The expectation is still that his life will "be short". That's what this page is about. Thousands of wonderful people have visited Mikey's page and prayed for him. Many have been inspired, blessed, and even found Jesus through these simple pages. It's suprising how many emails we have received from "back-slidden" couples and families who have returned to church after being inspired by Mikey's simple pages. To God be the glory. It's all about Him.

Mikey IS well. His last trip to Little Rock he saw his cardiologists and got a great report, thank You, Lord! He had ekgs, a pacemaker clinic and a heart echo done, and everything looked fine. The dacron conduit in his heart is clear and the porcine valve is working well for him. He still has "heart rub" and a leaky mitral valve, but medication is controlling the sinus tachycardia (fast heart rate), and we are all very happy with Mikey's progress since his latest heart surgery last summer.

T.G.I.S. .. Thank God It's SONday, and we get to go to church today!
