June 4th, 2006... It's been another busy week.. first was Memorial day.. then we got to take Emily to the Old Fort Days Rodeo parade to kick off the big rodeo.. then of course we went out to the Rodeo. ..and Thursday was Mikey's big awards assembly at school, where (as you can see in the photo above) Mikey picked up 5 awards!! And friday was the last day of shcool. Mikey is well, thank You, Lord. Tomorrow he will get another pacemaker check. YEP, Mikey is out of school for the summer now and READY for all the fun that entails.. It's wonderful to live in the FOG (Favor Of God)!

We have received the results of Mikey's heart monitoring, and we're pleased that everything seems to be alright now. Mikey is well ... God is good!

Our friend Bobby in Arizona has "graduated" to Heaven. Please pray for Bobby's family. They have been so kind and such great friends to Mikey and family for a number of years now. Read Peg's tribute to Bobby HERE.

T.G.I.S. .. Thank God It's SONday, and we get to go to church today! God is Good!

June 11th, 2006... Mikey is well, thank You, Lord. He had his pacemaker check last week and everything checked out alright. Our summertime temps seem to be here to stay.. upper 90s daily, but we're still getting out a lot. In the photo above, Mikey can be seen miniature golfing with Emily and dad. He also got to drive a go-kart at the park.

We live close to a Planter's Peanut factory.. close enough to enjoy the wonderful smell of fresh-roasted peanuts sometimes when they are roasting. Yesterday, Planter's celebrated their 100th anniversary (30 years in Ft. Smith) and we got to go and sample their products, and got our picture taken with "Mr. Peanut".. hehe! Later, Mikey was on the front row in the audience to watch the filming of try-outs for the "Survivor" TV show.

Then there was a family barbecue at Sissy and Mister Ed's last night.. brisket, taters, corn-on-the-cob and watermelon! Fun, fun, fun...

June 18th, 2006... HAPPY FATHER'S DAY! Mikey is well, thank You, Lord. Today's picture finds Mikey and friends at a local bowling alley where he was attending a buddy's birthday party. He had a great time bowling and eating pizza, snacks and cake! There is a new little fun park that opened here recently, and Mikey and Emily like to go there too. They have a ferris wheel, a carousel, a railroad car diner and a double-decker bus made into a snack bar. The carousel is Emily's favorite.

June 25th, 2006... Happy Lord's Day! Mikey is well, thank You, Lord, and he's havin' another busy summer. In the photo above, Mikey and Emily are boarding a little train at one of our local parks. Mikey and niece Emily both like to ride the train, so we try to take them there often in the summer. This particular day, we took them to several parks. Mikey and Emily have SO much fun together, and so do grandma and grandpa! Mikey is on summer break and enjoying all the fun that entails.. It's wonderful to live in the FOG (Favor Of God)!

Mikey is doing well. He has regular pacemaker checks via phone modem, and he visits his cardiologists in Little Rock. They have a new surgery team there that will perform Mikey's next heart surgery. It's hard to believe, as healthy as Mikey appears now, that he is still so very ill. The expectation is still that his life will "be short". That's what this page is about. Thousands of wonderful people have visited Mikey's page and prayed for him. Many have been inspired, blessed, and even found Jesus through these simple pages. It's suprising how many emails we have received from "back-slidden" couples and families who have returned to church after being inspired by Mikey's simple pages. To God be the glory. It's all about Him.

Mikey IS well. His last trip to Little Rock he saw his cardiologists and got a great report, thank You, Lord! He had ekgs, a pacemaker clinic and a heart echo done, and everything looked fine. The dacron conduit in his heart is clear and the porcine valve is working well for him. He still has "heart rub" and a leaky mitral valve, but medication is controlling the sinus tachycardia (fast heart rate), and we are all very happy with Mikey's progress since his latest heart surgery last summer.

COMING SOON!

While you are here, Please sign Mikey's guestbook.
Thank you!!!
